It looks like that there'll be no floods in Chiang Mai or, as it is, the north of Thailand, after the disastrous cyclone that hit Myanmar recently.
The government has issued a warning but according to the latest news, so far there's no danger in sight.
However, the cyclone did take its toll from a lot of people living here in the city, who have families back in Myanmar, as they've lost relatives in the floods and storms. Some of them are still in the dark as far as the wereabouts of their beloved are concerned, since they can't reach them by phone or in any other way.
